The Palace is situated within the central plaza of the city. Great pillars and walls adorn each side as a ramp waves through the first courtyard into the main city’s hall. Ahead of the hall is the second gate, where a barracks and a stable lean off on both sides. Beyond that is the main entrance to the palace, where guards are stationed on all sides leading into the inner throne room. There the respective governor or prefect resides, perched against the great golden throne of the cities constituency.

Zhuge Liang came to the city on a horse. He wore merely simple robes, carried that stereotypical feather fan, and had some stupid hat on his head. His hair was in a bun, his blood type was type A, he had been traveling for miles, and at the time he arrived at the gates of Xiangping, he was presently thinking about the different kinds of fungi of the region.
Weee, look at me typing all these silly details to extend the length of my post. i'msogoddamngoodatroleplayingholycrap. long post=good roleplayer. Also, Zhuge Liang was looking very sexy that day. His beard glistened in the sun. The bird that he had plucked the feathers for his fan from was running around and cawing angrily nearby. Zhuge Liang paid it no heed as he approached the guards. His son Zhuge Zhan, then 9, tugged on one of the guards' shirts.
"Hey bro, my dad is looking to join the kingdom of Ignoramus. Can we get an audience with the Grand Bastard?"
"SON! It's Igamura clan, and the leader is called the Grand Master. Please excuse my son, officers. He is young and, well, not all that bright," apologized Zhuge Liang. He then threw a ball and Zhuge Zhan went to fetch it.
"My son was, however, rightly intentioned. I do wish to seek out your master and join him. I am anxious that the imperial house has fallen into the hands of rebels. I seek to serve a worthy lord such as your own so that the capital might be wrested from the clan of Cao..."
Stating his reasons for coming, Zhuge Liang kowtowed humbly and awaited the guards' response.

OOC: Hahaha
The guard quickly got over the shock of being asked to see the Grand Bastard, wondering which bastard was supposed to be the grand one.
The Guard replied trying to regain his composure.
"Any enemy of Wei is a friend of ours. The Grand Master has just returned, you may see him now"
The Guard motioned to two other guards to open the giant red doors, they then stood at attention, with their spears held high in the air.

The rhythmic sound of bells entered the air as Gan Ning approached the palace on foot
"Yo guards one of you want to show me where this grandmaster guy is?I heard about that drunken fool that tried to assassinate him and.... hell i might as well fit in with the rest of these drunken rebels"

The Guard just smacked his forehead and shook his head. He kept his head down and simply pointed to the open red doors.
The other guards just sighed wondering how the hell all they were going to conquer China being led by a bunch of drunks.
Inside the doors was a great room with four large tall windows looking out onto the garden. Maximus sat at a desk with a strange looking man clad in all black with a sheathed Katana held firmly in his hand standing beside him.
Along the walls were elite guards standing at attention. The room was filled with chairs and tea sets and papers. Although the great oak desk stood alone in the middle of the room.
Maximus saw Zhuge Liang and Gan Ning coming and spoke
"Who might you two be?"

"My name is Zhuge Liang. I am your Guan Zhong. I am your Yin Yi. I am the Zhang Liang to your Liu Bang. I am that Mortal Kombat character Liu Kang. I am, in short, an awesome guy and you will employ me. Yes, you will."
Zhuge Zhan presently returned with that ball in his mouth and dropped it at Zhuge Liang's feet. He started tugging at Liang's robes.
"Oh and this is my loyal dog...uh, son, Zhuge Zhan.
Anyways, onto matters of business...I have been living a simple life in the mountains, but news of your lordship's virtue has been brought to my attention. I loathe Wei. They have usurped the authority of the Han and rule as tyrants. Hence I glean that a worthy man such as yourself is more than a perfect benefactor. If you would permit it, I would serve you to the best of my abilities.
I have a small following of peasants that I could bring with me should you employ me. In any case, you would not regret the decision."

"You are going to be all of those thing hmm? I look forward to having such a talented general. And im sure one day your son will become a mighty general... or dog.
Welcome to the Igamura Clan, General Zhuge Liang."
Maximus then made a small bow.

Gan Ning put his hands behind his head and starts to tell his story
"Hey whats up the names Gan Ning, I used to lead a group of Pirates all of which wore bells" *Jingle* *Jingle* as Gan Ning taps one of the bells "Until the Wei kingdom killed most of my band. So i decided to get back at them, and after hearing about your incident with that drunk assassin i decided it might be fun to help you out...But after coming her i can see you mean serious business which is all the better. I was so busy getting drunk on cheap wine and vengeance i forgot my purpose. I want to help you take down Wei and unify china, and most of all i want redemption for what i have done, so you letting me join up with you?"

Zhuge Zhan licked Maximus' hand. Zhuge Liang kowtowed back towards his lord, and then went out to perform whatever official duties were in store for him.

Maximus wiped off the slobber from his hand as his eyes rolled at being licked, he looked Gan Ning in the eyes and spoke
"You are welcome here Pirate King. I have heard much about you from lands afar, I look forward to seeing your skills in action."
Maximus then made another small bow and motioned to a guard for some maps of his new battle plans.

(Sorry it's a quick post, getting dragged to do stuff, promise next one will be better)
Mei Lien had gone over it about fifty times in her head, thinking it all over again...she had made it this far there was no turning back right? She wanted this right, Lien knew she never would of came to this place if she had not wanted it, it was simple though she was a bit worried. First off she was a girl, in the past people had never been all that accepting of woman who could fight of course there was the new empress. Lately that women from what she had heard had done more then her husband, though in this world...voicing something like that could get you killed. It was stupid to think that no longer could you voice your opinion about a ruler because you were to worried about getting crushed under some sort of invisible force.
Joining a rebellion though would help people voice there opinions once again, that was if who they followed was letting them do so. That was what everyone wanted now though, in the end everyone had the same basic goals which was to bring down a greater power that they knew little about. Thinking about it she knew that Cao Cao was dead but one could not help but wonder if he was still alive...if the other rulers were still living, breathing people. Would they have crushed the power that ruled over this land or would the war they had fought so long in seemingly continue for centuries? Everyone was caught in it though, that was just the truth whether you wanted to be in it or not it was no longer a decision.
Running a hand threw her hair she paused for a moment realizing where she had landed herself...right in front of the building she was coming to and she smirked lightly. Well, this was going to be a lot of fun she thought to herself as she looked over at a guard putting her hand on her hips. Dark gray eyes locked onto theirs and she ran a hand threw her dark brown hair that was in a loose ponytail that rested on her back. Her outfit was different then what you would expect most woman to wear, today it was just shorts that were black with red designs on them. Then her shirt had medium length sleeves, resting a hand on her hip she tapped her chin smirking.
"As much as I hate to bother you gentlemen" her voice was soft and gentle as she gave a sarcastic smirk looking at them after words. "I would like to have a word with your lord, Maximus if I am not mistaken" brushing some of her hair behind her ear she looked at them. "After all I mean no harm" her voice was quite level, and she seemed to coat every word that came from her lips in sarcasm. For now this would do, after all no need to be to talkative plus they were not exactly the person she was looking to have a conversation with. Not that she did not respect them, whenever she spoke though it seemed as though she really did not respect anyone it was just her natural tone.

The guards looked at her a little disturbed, there was something unsettling about her, something more than meets the eye, but they could not pinpoint what it was.
After a few moments of silence the head guard finally broke it and spoke
"Yes of course, right that way miss, through these great big red doors you will find our leader Maximus"
Inside the the room people were moving in and out rapidly, carrying papers and messengers carrying orders in and out of the room at an alarming rate. Scrolls and maps were laying all around the floor and it seemed as if the entire war room was in a great messy chaos of planning.
Maximus looked up and noticed the beautiful young woman beside the door and paused.
He then spoke.
"May I help you miss?"

Mei Lien did not have serious appearance it was just something that she would never really have simply because she was good at hiding what she thought to be serious. They both seemed to think her strange which inside she laughed a bit about that, she was rarely something to worry. It proved that they took more precautions then usual guards, most would not have regarded her simply because she was a woman. There was the empress though, if anyone dared talked about women as being weak they probably got it from her. "Thank you gentlemen" she said walking past them and she decided she could stay back for a bit with all the people, leaning against the door way.
Left foot was bent and the bottom of it leaned against the door way as she looked around the room for a few minutes. Then she let herself focus back in and noticed everyone zooming in and out of the room. It seemed as though this little rebellion was rather busy huh, Lien thought to herself as she leaned back and looked around. Her eyes seemed to have sort of skipped over the one person who was obviously the ruler, though she knew whoever it was he would eventually ask who she was. In less he always had random woman standing at his doorways, Mei Lien smirked a bit at the thought and continued to let her eyes wonder.
Hearing the question Lien's mind zoned herself back in and she looked at the man who had asked the question and she smirked lightly, this was the one. "Ah you must be Maximus" Lien said pointing her finger and her other hand brushed a piece of hair away from her face lightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you but where are my manners" she said as she lightly bowed to him "the names Mei Lien". No one knew who she was and that was exactly what she liked, instead of being like most of these people who already made their names she was just starting off. It was interesting starting off, the thrill and the rush of it all she as young though it was on her face.
Giving out a light breath she thought about what to say exactly after all she refused to just simply say what she came here for but how was she suppose to dance around it? "You probably already know why I am here don't you?" she said tilting her head as she smirked lightly. "After all I've heard about you very few have not heard about the rebellion that seemingly rose from the ground" maybe that was why she was here, curiosity. "It's intriguing that so many people have tried to do this before yet...most have not even gotten to this point, correct?" Lien pursed her pink lips together. "Many would kill for a opportunity that you presumingly have playing out right in front of you" Lien said looking at him for a moment but it did not last long.
Mei Lien was not stupid...she knew what was going on in the world and slightly what peoples intentions were in becoming rulers now. "What makes you feel as though you'll be different then those who rule now?" she said rather bluntly. "How are you any different?" it was pretty much a restatement "will power drive you over the edge like so many?" At this point Lien might of guessed he might get a bit angry, after all she had come in here and questioned him right off the bat hardly giving it a second thought. "Everyone at the beginning of their valiant crusades believes themselves to fight for the greater good, but in truth at the end of the day all they are left with is the demon growing inside them". "What lord Maximus, makes you a man who would never at the end of the day be left with that demon" Lien laced her fingers together as she stood there.
"Not that I by any means have meant to offend you but I'm simply in the business of asking questions" she said smirking "plus you can never be to careful correct?" Mei Lien gave out a breath after stating all of that "I'd rather serve someone who knows what they are getting themselves into, though I doubt you don't know". Mei Lien had gone over how this might play out a few times and every time it usually ended up with people thinking she was odd to be questioning someone with power. Of course if a leader could not handle people who dared to question him and cut down just about everyone who did so wasn't he like the people he fights against? She wanted to make sure he was the person that she thought he was, not just another.

The frozen north, Xiang Ping. Mountains, hills, a bay, yet another frontier. It had been months since he had left Wen Fang and the jungles of Nanman. Months since he had killed the bandits and taken one of their horses. He now rode on a horse, though it was not the same beast he had taken. That horse had died long ago, rode to death by what many would call an impatient man. Since then there had been several horses, all of which had owners at one point, all of which were dead now.
His hair blew in the frigid mountain breeze, his eyes yet still colder. They were fixed upon the banners that flew from the walls of the city. A new crest, one that stood in opposition to the claims of hegemony over the land made by Wei. It was one of many defiant crests. These days, they seemed to be simply popping up all over the place. These leaders were men of renown, the great Lu Meng, the ever potent Zhou Yu. He had heard of these names and the deeds their bearers had supposedly committed. Illustrious figures it appeared to him. But who was this man, the man who dared to call himself their equal? He had heard not of his name, or of his deeds.
He rode up to the guards at the gate to the city and hailed them, "Sirs, I pray you give me entrance into Xiang Ping. I've come to survey the land and wish to speak with your leader."
His tone was not threatening, nor commanding. His Chu-Ko-Nu was slung across his back and was not visible to them, his Saber was wrapped in a piece of cloth. To them, he would look like a disheveled traveler and nothing more.
They looked to each other and back the man who addressed them.
"What is your name, so that we might announce you to our lord?"
"My name is Chen Qiubing. I mean no harm to you or your leader, I simply wish to speak with him about the frontier," a manufactured name and purpose. None too subtle in his own mind, but of course he knew both were lies. The only question at this point was, did they?

BX walked up to the city gate, feet somewhat tired from the long walk from the port of Xiang Ping to the city, while the territory had ample amounts of coastline the city was no where near the coast He could of used a horse, but he preferred his feet, besides there was no hurry. The fleet was being properly modified and outfitted, and Maximus hadn't summoned him, he was just looking forward to resting. He was lying to Xum about being in a tavern, he's actually been traveling for last few days, acquiring the fleet and was tired. So in seeing gate guards being overzealous in their work had stopped what appeared to be a traveler, attempting to hide his weaponry, well successfully really, the guards haven't really noticed, but BX knew a thing or two about hiding weapons, often hiding his own even had a couple spring loaded throwing knives up his sleeves all he had to do was twist his wrist a certain way. shaking his head, BX smiled inwardly he must be tired he's thinking about the oddest things. The guards knowing his face didn't bother to stop him. As he passed he called out, "Let him through, if he causes trouble in the city arrest or kill him stop bothering travelers."
The guard called back, "My lord he wishes to see his highness Maximus."
BX looked back at the traveler reevaluating the man, then shrugged, "Let the palace guards deal with him then, I'm going to take a nap, just keep a look out for wanted criminals and stop harassing every armed traveler that comes this way." Ignoring them there after BX headed to the palace for some wine and rest. Since Xum wanted experience in battle he left her to supervise the outfitting so with that BX felt he'd have serenity for a few hours.
One of the guards, turned to the traveler. "Chen Qiubing was it, you have permission to enter, but if you don't mind. I will escort you to the palace."
