"Wake up you maggots! We got to get going for the taste of Wei's blood!"
Stars still shine bright with the rising of the sun just coming over that horizon. Moon is just as full as it was earlier but shall disappear later on in the day. The smell of breakfast lingers in the air, and boy or boy does it smell good. This day seems different, very different. The outcome of today is the first of many tactics to come. Wei has not been caring about the villages in the area that feed their emperor's belly. Oh how these Wei punks have it coming.
No more raping! No more killing of innocent lives! No more of those Bandits traditions. The bull**** stops this very morning. Spilling of first blood will not be of the rebels, nor the bandits, but the Empire. Everything has to start somewhere in life, first actions will begin in just a few hours. Out from the woods, and back into camp, Ryou stood in the middle of his crew, looking at every man that was waking like babies.
Some men wake up with hard, you know what, having to go take a piss just around the corner, or maybe even take a shit. Others might get up and throw on their cloths and sit around the camp fire eating, or grab a bit and go back to their sleeping area. Yet few of these men are ready for the fight to come. Just awaiting the orders of their king and new leader. Kin walked over to the top edge of a hill, looking out, pass the trees, the leafs, and clouds. Those stars are beautiful to look at for some odd reason. He grabbed his heart, rubbing on something under his cloths and armour.
A charm maybe? Or could it be a bone of some sort? The men sure don't know about it. What could it be under his cloths? No homo! All his men behind him are done eating, taking shits, and everything else. The boys got into formation and without a word they awaited their leader to turn around and give them a few words of wisdom. Of course it took him a while to turn around and see his great men behind him. Sooner or later he did turn around, after almost 20 minutes of no one really talking. I guess Kin was in a flash back moment, something that explains a complete different thing than what the topic say.
"WOW! Men! Today is the start of many new things. There might be other rebels out there but today! We, the Blood Bandits, will bring first blood to Cao Pi's and his Queen's table."
"Once we make this first strike they just might increase their patrols around here. Someone! Somebody! Has to stand up against this weak child behind the throne! We are the first of many more to come and purge these Wei scum off this earth."
"Ba Zeng cared of all of us! He just might still be out there! Some where. We shall continue what he could not finish. Here! On this day! Nah! Fuck that! Forever until we fall to the bed of death! We shall overcome the seas of Wei and bring the rise of NEW hope to the land."
"And with that said! Lets go give these faggets of Wei, THE BUSINESS!"
The business? What the fuck is that! They will know what Kin is talking about when they get to the target. All men lay silent, and then a roar from the middle of the crowd, rising of weapons, and the growing of a cheer. These men were prepared for the worst. Whatever they have going through there head, suckers Kin thought, fucking suckers they are. This convoy they are about to hit up, better be full of rewards, if not then they are just going to get even more boys to join the group.
Ryou turned around after the cheer went down a bit, and that smirk, that grim looking smirk was hidden from the group. No more calm look in his face, focus he is on that target and timing could be no better. They only have an hour before the convoy make it to them. That gives them less than 30 minutes to set up everything. Kin started to run down the slope and toward the road. They have about a mile to go to the ambush area. His other men already waits for the others to get there and if they don't hurry, they miss the window to ambush the convoy.
Zig Zagging pass trees, jumping over logs, stepping over snakes, cracking of twigs, and hot rotten breath blowing out, all the men move swiftly through the forest. Just a couple of men fell, but rose back up to move again. They might be tired when they get there but they will catch their breath in due time, before the convoy is even in sight. Nothing crossed the men minds but to hurry, hurry, HURRY! Keeping up was no problem, but when they get to their certain point, then they slow a bit.
Ryou jumped in the middle of the road. Scouting it quickly to see if the convoy is anywhere in sight. There was a curve down the road he was looking it. A bit of a blind spot before he could be seen. He started to point in many directions but the men knew what they had to do. 300 men moved over the road and into the forest into the west. 300 more men stayed in the forest in the east. Some of the men jumped up into the trees, for a height advantage, and attack advantage.
Running over to grab two rocks, he slipped on a pebble in the road, a bad sight indeed for their leader. They laughed a bit and stop soon after. Kin picked up two rocks, these two rocks are going to be the area of which the ambush should start. When the convoy is in the middle of these two rocks, the ambush will begin with the death of the person on the wagon. If everyone support one another then it should be few loses, but if there are some dumb ass out there who runs in there alone, and Kin know there is, then he will take many losses.
Everyone is set. Everyone is ready. Everyone awaits for the taste of that blood. Kin run back into the eastern forest. All of these men are peasants and the others are getting ready for their next stage of action. This wait is most boring but well worth it. And this is just the start of it. Everyone is getting their energy back from their mile run, Not long after, about 10 maybe 15 minutes the cracking noise of the wagon could be heard. As they got closer you can hear the gossip and laughter of the men who guards it.
Its like they are not worried about anything. They guess they mostly wont get raided. Maybe because since Wei is a huge Empire then they don't have to worry about a single thing. Kin started to count the men that was guarding it. His men laid still, out of sight, and some even holding their breath. Its a nice day to start some shit up against Wei.

Guards fastened ropes to the carriages as they propelled north to the city walls. There, the carriages would be handed to a platoon of 12 wei wei dui with a single jing rui wei wei dui who would act as its captain.
They had a total of 4 platoons at the front, with 2 more rimming the sides and rear. Their journey had been ordered from the governor of the city, asking them to head out of the city’s north gate and then curve south – past the woods and then east towards the richer province of Si Li.
It had seemed like a likely route, for the eastern gate was usually far too busy with the marketing traders – this route, although a few hours longer, always seemed somehow...faster in the long run. Of course there were a risk of being raided, but they had not been attacked once in the last 2 years, making the odds seem less and less probable.
Besides, who would actually take on a Wei convoy? All knew convoys belonged to the governor of a city and anyone messing with a governor soon found themselves hung or beheaded.
Still, that wouldn’t stop the fools of the outer skirts, tramps who would feed off of the flesh of their enemies just to keep something warm inside of them. That was what poverty did and that was why 6 platoons surrounded the treasures of this convoy, or so one would assume.
There were actually a total of 12 carriages, some large, others small – they seemed to vary in sizes, but they moved as swiftly as any of the lesser convoys, each carriage kept a steady pace, each soldier walking confidently.
Then, they came to the path, the guards and captains gazed wearily ahead at the forests, they could see rocks and pebbles and thought nothing of it. Later – they would learn to regret that.
The Convoy has 12 carriages, but no one knows what are inside them, they also have 6 platoons surrounding the carriage, there are 12 guards to a platoon with 1 captain.

If there was ever a time to drop everything and just disappear, now was the time. If there was ever a time to join Wei, now was the time. If there was ever a time to do this raid against Wei, now was the time. The thoughts of choices ramming the mind of Ryou. So many outcomes could happen this very day. but he is a man of his word. Where to go? What to do? How to do it? The opportunity rolls down the road this very moment. For whatever choice that Kin makes this very second, could mean his very life.
There! The convoy! If Kin wanted to just flee right now, it was time for that, yet his body does not move, which that eliminates the first choice. His men cranked up those bolt-action crossbows. That convoy was a lot bigger than Kin has planned for, but his men should be enough. Those crossbows were ready and the sight of soldiers could be seen. Some men gripping their weapons tight, others licking their lips. Kin was counting and could tell who and what the soldiers were. That bow of his was ready to rain down the death of arrows. His target? Multiple!
Those soldiers were now walking into the ambush, guiding the bandit's prizes right behind them. More than fifty men was at the front of the convoy, about less than thirty was at the rear. Kin's men outnumbered them so much more. Off top, moral was high! You have a ambush going as planned with less than a hundred men guarding the convoy. Kin's numbers were around six hundred men, three hundred were on both flanks of the convoy, plus one on the eastern side, Kin.
In a line, starting from the front was a hundred Dao Bing, men with mostly curved swords, yet few with regular short swords and spears. Going down the line were Nu Shou, there are a hundred and fifty men, some are in the trees. About one third of them are going to attack the soldiers in the front, then another third will try and kill men on the wagons. The last third will help attack the soldiers in the rear. The last group at the very rear were another fifty Dao Bing soldiers. The men on the other side of the road are lined up the same way. One hundred and fifty men of Dao Bing and Nu Shou warriors.
The convoy was now nearing the perfect time to strike. Ryou got up a bit, pulling three arrows from his pouch of arrows on his left side. Slowly his hands move into position for the ambush. If he wanted to he could just jump out and join Wei at this very second, but the path he takes is his choice, so he is going against the Wei Empire as he said. Those three arrows are in between his figures and slide perfectly onto the string. There is just a bush in front of him, so he has to pull back a bit hard to make sure it does go through the bush. Once he let go, the ambush will begin.
Ryou's sight is locked onto one of the jing rui wei wei dui, the other two arrows will just hit one of the grunts that follow their captain. No sweat. No fear. No mercy. The arrows were let loose, piercing the captain's throat, another one hit a guard's head, and the last hit another guards neck. Mostly head shots, the captain was the very one that almost got lucky. The soldiers guarding the convoy turned right toward Kin, their eyes heated for them killing their captain and friends. Ryou dropped back down on the ground and crossbowmen, while still laying down launched their bolts at the enemy.
Having piercing fangs hit them from both sides is most deadly. Thats mostly hundred bolts hitting the frontal guard's units. Another fifty are hitting the men on the wagon, inside the wagon, and wounding a horse or two. The other fifty fired at the guard units at the rear. Once shot those bolts, the next wave of teeth were pouring out of the forest. Two hundred men were hitting the frontal guard units while only a hundred men were slamming the rear guard units, all these men are Dao Bing warriors. Kin dropped his bow and went into the fray with his men.
The crossbowmen jumped out of cover and out onto the road, pulling out their daggers to kill any of the men that still scared from the ambush. While doing that, they check the back of the wagons with more men having their crossbows ready to fire into the wagon if their were more soldiers. The horses would like to escape, but they are locked tight. They pouch as much as they can but nothing they can even do against humans and their brutal doings.
Having Kin at the front, helping his boys out, secures their morale for greatness. Jing rui wei wei dui were good at combat, which is the reason Kin is other there hunting them down, but with a ambush, outnumbered, and without their own true leader out here, they will fall. Ryou does not know if a person on the wagon or a soldier already fled for their life foe help. Help is miles away from where they are now. Having a person flee will be very slim. The bandits had already surrounded them within seconds and with so many men out here, so one would notice if a Wei guard retreated.

It was just as the quartermaster had said. ‘It was indeed a terrible sight to behold’. The soldiers; or what was left of them – had remembered the teachings of the cities quartermaster, ignoring his pleas for protection, ignoring his very strategy to prevent things like this from happening.
And how was he repaid?
He was laughed at, mocked, demoted and eventually forced to leave the cities quarters. He had been ‘too persistent’ in their tactical training, he had been ‘too harsh’ in discipline, but now – as the bolts thudded hard against their meagre bodies, they had craved for nothing more than the whip of a feisty old man.
But it wasn’t, it was no whip that forced the soldiers to whelp in agony – it was a series of planned attacks, bolts mainly – followed by a charge of Dao Bing.
The remaining commanders hosted a trained army, scooting closer around the caravans, their cries forever prolonged within the backs of their minds.
“Guard the carriages, protect the line!” One of the Jing Rui Wei Wei Dui spoke, before being knocked over by a bolt that fired through his neck. Others continued to fall, from both the front and the rear of the convoy, if only they’d taken the eastern gate – none of this would have happened.
The remaining captains kept to the front lines, repelling the onslaught that forced its way into his soldier’s ranks, killing his men by the dozen. One of his enemies fell, a result of a timely attack. Others didn’t fall for his thrusting tricks and he was soon slain himself when Ryou had advanced his line.
More of the captains fell to the enemy, before a general by the name Yalang roared from out of the inner carriage, in fact, roars came from 4 of the inner carriages, the enemy’s attacks being a gentle breeze as the loot they attacked was now tarnished.
“These bandits are fools.” Claimed the general, tearing the sword from his scabbard and plummeting it into one of the nu shou crossbowmen.
“To openly fire on the cargo they want to steal, how pitiful.”
The main guard succumbed to the over-powering advance of Ryou’s army, but deep inside the 12 carriages were a fresh section of Wei guards, each with their swords ready and poised. They hadn’t expected to be attacked, and the general was relieved he had offered to assist the convoy after all. If this cargo was to fall – it’d be after he was dead.
Ryou didn’t stop the onslaught, their armies charged at the two lines forming around the inner carriages, allowing the outer carriages, which were the ones filled with loot – to be tarnished and destroyed by the enemy crossbowman.
He saw sword flail aimlessly as they were held by novices, and he found great pleasure in tearing their arms and legs apart with his mighty sword. Ryou would be a far greater concern however, and so he spent a good portion of his time seeking out the enemy leading general.
Losses - Formula Used
Ryou 12 Nu Shou 12 Dao Bing
Convoy 48 Wei Wei Dui 3 Jing Rui Wei Wei Dui
100 Wei Wei Dui and 1 enemy general has joined the battle on Wei’s side

"Show mercy!!!"
Those words! Showing of weakness! This man knew the job he signed up for. For any reason, he should have became a fishermen, but for this day he will just become another dead one. Kin rammed his sword into the neck of the guard, chopping his very life to hell. His hands gripped the man's hair tightly, pulling it away with even more power. Each chop was squeezing the very life out of him, blood! Covering his face and ripping the man's head the rest off, Kin was not fucking around today. Whether the loot is destroyed or not, its really all fun and games to him.
"You wear the blue, your gonna get the BUSINESS!"
Another guard head his way, throwing the head of the one he just ripped off right at him. Ryou dashed forward flipping his sword around on the hook side. Jumping to the guard's side, he rammed his sword into the man's neck, and pulling it with such forceful pain. The guard's neck was ripped open, most painful indeed. The guard grabbed his neck. What pointless thing to do when your just a half a second to hell.
These bandits don't fuck around. If their enemy killed one man, they still had three more men in front of them to kill. Some of of Dao Bing were already covered in blood, but if there was anyone who was washed up in it, Ryou would be that very man. The taste of Wei's blood is most pleasurable. Another Jing Rui Wei Wei Dui was in sight, two, side by side. They were really holding their lines cutting down Kin's bandits like puppies, and with their own guards backing them up.
Both of the men see Ryou walking toward them, looking at him with a fearless heart. Yet their men behind them could see almost a demon figure of the man. Kin charged both of them and his men battled around Ryou and the two Jing Rui Wei Wei Dui. One had a sword, the other a spear, both together are already a deadly couple. Kin approached the man with the sword first, and quickly cutting back toward the other guy with the spear. The elite guard tried to stab, but Ryou turned to the side attempting to slash at the man's side.
The other guy with the sword slashed at Ryou's arms, trying to stop his attack. Kin went low, doing a spinning low kick on the ground, which the elite guard fell to the ground. Again the main the the sword slashed the Kin trying to stop him from killing his partner. Ryou tried to block with his sword, only to have it knocked out his hand by some swordsmen who think he is the shit. Rolling out the way, he left his other sword on the ground. At this time he could see more of Wei's guards coming out of the wagons.
"Grrrr...!"
The other elite guard with the spear got back up on his feet and now they are back where they started, almost. This time Ryou only have one of his swords, this will not halt him for killing these two trash bags. Both of the elite guards now attempt their counter attack against Kin, but it will now be their last attempt to try and flee. Yet again the elite guard tries and stab, this time, with a free hand, Kin grabbed the spear. The other guard tries to again cut off Kin's hand only to have his buddies spear in the way.
Ryou blocked the mans attack with his buddies spear, and what will now be this elite guard spearmen punishment, death. Slashing at the man's stomach, open it up to the world. This wound was deep, and had to be taken cared of at this very instant. After, the cut on the spearmen's stomach, Kin pulled the spear away from him, sweeping behind the guard and having a sword again come down on him. The other bandits around him cheered with joy and continued their assault against the falling enemies. Kin had the hurry! With other fresh warriors jumping out of the wagons, time could not be wasted.
The other guard, after seeing his fellow pulling his weapon back and is currently slash downward on Ryou Kin as soon as he sweep behind his fallen brother. Kin spins around, slashing the elite guard's back. His body is in pause right now, and so is Kin's. It was all smooth motion and time seem to speed back up to normal. Is that a bone? The spine? Ryou turned back around, looking at the remaining guards that stood before him, getting owned by Dao Bing, and those new faggets that joined the fight.
Crossbowmen were taking hard hits from the new pigs that join the fray. Every single crossbowmen fled back into the forest reloading their bolts for more action. What they don't understand is how those wei guards survive the hits of bolts into the wagon. Nothing matter right now. They have a threat on their hands and so it must be taken cared off. What the Wei guards didn't know, was that as all this fighting were going on, some of the crossbowmen were already extracting the loot out of the wagons. More than a hundred were doing such a task yet almost a hundred fled into the forest to come back later and fight again.
Ryou Kin and his Dao Bing were surrounding the remaining Wei guards, taking their lives two at a time. Still their numbers more than triples the amount that the Wei guards have. So, morale stays high, and Kin being out there taking care of those captains, only secures it even more. The Blood Bandits keep adding to their kill count, and Ryou will soon have to fight, or maybe even capture that new general that just popped out of the wagon.
"More birds to kill!"

(This mod task was handed over to me by Cao Pi/Steve,
Kin and I have agreed to auto-resolve the remainder of the raid, using Zhen Luo/Jen's formula.)
Surrounded, the Wei Wei Dui fought as hard as they could, know that there was no escape from these bandits. Outnumbered almost at a 3:1 ratio it would take a miracle to save them from the grim situation.
Yalang knew that finding Ryou Kin and defeating him would bolster his men's morale, but that wasn't the case. Slashing down another 2 Dao Bing, Yalang fought furiously, trying to keep the line of Wei Wei Dui together. That line was however, already weakened by volleys of bolts.
The trained Wei Wei Dui tried their hardest to keep the line steady. Yet as the line crumbled under the onslaught. Yalang found himself surrounded, he parried a blow, then took a strike to the back of his head by none other then the notorious Blood Bandit leader Ryou Kin. The bandit leader he had tried to find the duration of the battle. Ryou Kin landed a blunt blow, the bottom of the hilt of his sword.
Yalang fell to the ground with a hard 'thud'. Unconscious. What Ryou Kin would do with him was anyone's guess. What did bandit leaders do to their prisoners?
When Yalang fell the remainder of the Jing Wei Wei Dui tried to keep the men together. Fighting to their death as elites would. Taking with them most of the Wei Wei Dui. Some Wei Wei Dui, however, surrendered at the sight of their leader being struck down.
Total Losses - Formula Used
Ryou Kin - 30 Nu Shou (Crossbowmen) 30 Dao Bing (Swordsmen of some sort)
60 Total
Wei Convoy - 70 Wei Wei Dui 3 Jing Wei Wei Dui
54 Wei Wei Dui - Captured
Tags: War, Dueling/Fighting, Pillaging, Planning/General Strategy, General Story Telling, Speaker
Rewards:
Ryou Kin - +7 Fame (Notoriety Increase), +950 gold (Including Loot, This was a medium Convoy.) + 2 Carts of Food + 30 UP
Even though some of the tags suggest some militia or peasants join you... well there wasn't anyone to join you in this case.
54 Wei Wei Dui have been captured. They are reluctant to join your bandit force. Perhaps some threats, or a tour of the glamorous bandit life (Har har) could persuade them. If you are feeling kind you can release them, or execute them. Or whatever.
Yalang has also been captured. (You know Jen, I actually love your formula it works great )

The red rain of blood has stop it's pouring. The loot, even though few of it was lost, it was still worth it. Bodies lay everywhere, even a horse from a wagon. Ryou has taken his first steps against a Empire, and for some odd reason he could feel others also taking their first actions against the Empire. Yes, today was surely a different day. These guard's general lay before them, giving up is something they should not have done.
All the men were tied up, including their general. Raiding is a challenging thing, and if this is just the start, boy oh boy, others other there could have been even harder. This very day go to the Blood Bandits, but what of the next day? The loot is already gone, and those weak guards are already being taken away. Kin still stands in the middle of the convoy, blood soaking his very feet. He kneel down and grabbed one of the men he killed, a peice of cloth he grabbed, whipping his swords of the blood.
Stepping over the bodies he began to leave this red area. Yet, something just had to halt him from returning and resting for the remaining of the day. One of his militia approached Kin, after scouting, miles away, before Kin even started the raid. No kneel this man could do, nor a bow. With so many dead bodies he dont was to go down on their level. Before the man could speak, Kin put away his blades of war. and sat down on one of the dead Jing Wei Wei Dui warriors.
"What is it?"
"A large force is near the borders of Tian Shui. They seem to be heading here but made camp. I waited and stayed hidden until they made a move. After a while another large army was going through, but this one did not stop! My King! I beleive this force is heading to Xiliang!"
"This cannot be! Please! Let the others know right away! Everyone has to return to Xiliang, we got to let them know! GO!!!"
A yell so mighty that the man stumbled backwards. Catching himself he turned and let the other men know. Those with the loot and the captured soldiers hauled ass the the other remain bandits. Ryou look at one of the horses that was left with the wagon. He cut the ropes and jumped on its back, riding as fast as he could back to Xiliang. No stoppping he could do. He is already ahead of the Wei army, so he still have time to get there and prepare defences.
"Everything just got more Epic!"
