Troop Descriptions
Militia - 10 UP - Militia are standard peons who wield rusty swords, spears, pick-axes and various other farming equipment. They wear standard peasantry outfits with small patches of leather.
Wei Wei Dui (Wei Guard) - 25 UP - Wei Wei Dui are standard guards for a nation. They are trained in basic combat and they're equipped with a variety of swords, spears and axes. They wear padded leather over a simple robe.
Jing Rui Wei Wei Dui (Elite Wei Guard) - 0 UP - Jing Rui Wei Wei Dui are the elite guards of a nation. They're trained to prevent smuggling, intrusion and assassination. They're equipped with decent swords and spears and wear light lamellar armour over a leather patchwork robe.
Fu Tou Bing (Axeman) - 20 UP - Fu Tou Bing are soldiers trained specifically for wielding short one handed weapons, such as the axe. They wear a light leather padded suit of armour and are trained in close range combat. They do not have shields.
Zhan Fu Bing (Heavy Axeman) - 35 UP - Zhan Fu Bing are trained axemen re-equipped with light lamellar armour and a round buckled shield.
Yue Bing (Battle-Axeman) - 0 UP - Yue Bing are a branch of axeman, given a large/heavy two handed war axe with a 3 to 4 foot handle and a big blade. They specialise in crowd clearing and are equipped with suits of heavy lamellar plating.
Jing Rui Fu Tou Bing (Elite Axeman) - 0 UP - Jing Rui Fu Tou Bing are elite axeman equipped with hardened axes and some thick heavy lamellar armour. They're trained specifically for close range combat and hand to hand combat.
Peasant - 10 UP - Peasants are commoners who join an army equipped with only what they possess. Usually this is just some torn cloth as armour and a pick-axe or other farming tools for wielding. There are a few however that use rusty swords and wear old leather garments.
Nu Shou (Crossbowman) - 15 UP - Nu Shou are trained commoners equipped with light leather suits of armour, a small dagger and a crossbow.
Chu Ke Nu (Repeating Crossbowman) - 0 UP - The Chu Ke Nu are a special division of crossbowmen that use a newly invented weapon. The crossbow they wield fires 10 bolts in succession by pulling a lever, after 10 bolts are fired it requires a new clip which they have 5 in stock for. The Chu Ke Nu are dressed in thick lamellar plating.
Gong Jian Bing (Archer) - 25 UP - Gong Jian Bing are trained soldiers equipped with a suit of padded leather armour, a small sword and a bow.
Qi She Gong Bing (Horse Archer) - 0 UP - Qi She Gong Bing are specially trained archers that excel at horse archery. They form small divisions of elite horse archers, wielding sturdy composite bows and having a sword for close combat. They're equipped with thick lamellar plating.
Jing Rui Gong Bing (Elite Archer) - 0 UP - Jing Rui Gong Bing are the elite archers pulled aside from the usual platoons. They then create small elite squadrons to repel enemies. They're known to wear fancy, thick lamellar plating and they wield a variety of bows, usually a study composite bow or a longbow.
Jian Bing (Swordsmen) - 20 UP - Jian Bing are commoners trained a little in how to defend an attack. They're equipped with padded leather armour and they wield a sword and a shield.
Chang Jian Bing (Veteran Swordsmen) - 35 UP - Chang Jian Bing are swordsmen who have seen a variety of battles. They obey military law to the letter and they train daily. They're known to wear light or medium lamellar armour and they carry swords of various sizes with a thick shield as their back up.
Jian Bing Jing Ying (Hardened Swordsmen) - 0 UP - Jian Bing Jing Ying are sectioned warriors who are too independent and self important to fight as a unit. Instead they form small groups of warriors, also often referred to as berserkers. They fight with dual swords and wear medium leather armour, they are the most skilled unit with swords but they don't last long in disciplined/organised atmospheres.
Jian Qi Bing (Cavalry w/Swords) - 45 UP - Jian Qi Bing are trained swordsmen mounted on horses. They carry long swords with a shield and they wear a medium to thick plated lamellar armour.
Jing Rui Jian Qi Bing (Elite Cavalry w/Swords) - 0 UP - Jing Rui Jian Qi Bing are the best mounted units that carry swords. They wear thick, double plated lamellar and have a matching set of swords and shields for protection. The horses are also covered with a thick leather rug for protection.
Dao Bing (Curved Swordsmen) - 20 UP - Dao Bing are commoners who wear lightly padded armour. They are trained in the weaponry of daos, which means curved blade. Some soldiers are equipped with scimitars, curbed short swords and spears relating to the guan dao.
Chang Dao Bing (Veteran Curved Swordsmen) - 0 UP - Chang Dao Bing are the trained, battle hardened version of the Dao Bing. They wear thick padded patchwork armour and wield a series of two handed scimitars.
Qiang Bing (Spearmen) - 25 UP - Qiang Bing are trained soldiers who carry a variety of spears, some long, others small. They wear medium sized armour with plated sections for protection. Some also have small shields.
