Lu Meng shook his head. The girl was not thinking clearly.
"No. You will display a faithful wife. We will sleep in the same quarters, or what'll seem as such. My room already has a large closet, you may sleep there while we are 'together'. You will keep appaearance as a happy, loving wife in the presence of anyone else.
You will do all this, to save your stealthed true persona. I am not asking for your mind in marriage, only your hand. However, you may not do anything to compromise public opinion of our wonderful marriage."
He picked up the bowl he had knocked off, setting it back onto the table. He moved to a window and looked out it.
"Lady Xiang, I do not do this because I want to. I do this because it is the only way that we will be able to fight against that bastard PI, the man who stole both of our lord's. We will not win the love of the people as a single man and a single woman.
we have to unite... for Lord Quan. And Lord Bei."

She couldn't help but feel like she had to submit to the orders of Lu Meng. As her Lord and soon-to-be husband, she felt somewhat weak in his eyes. With a steady lowering of her head, she bowed respectfully to his wishes. "Then, I'm under your authority." Turning back to her bed, she sat down slowly, rubbing her hands through her hair. She was full of stress now, but she dared not let anyone try and comfort her. It was her own problem. "You may both leave now. Lu Meng, send me word when you wish for the ceremony to occur."

Lu Meng nodded. He grabbed his weapon from the doorway, taking a look at Zhao Yun. He moved out the door and whistled to the two guards. They mounted up with him, and they rode away.
Meng led them to a back alley. Both were nervous. Meng slowed and waved them forwards. The cautiously moved forwards, and stopped. Meng did not want to kill them. He took their weapons. He gave them the horses.
"Go live your lives as farmers. Say nothing of this. No one would believe you anyways."
